Royal African Society presents Africa Writes 2016, an annual literature and book festival to showcase established and emerging talents from the African continent and its diaspora in what is now the UK’s biggest celebration of contemporary African writing taking place over an exciting summer weekend.
The festival features book launches, readings, author appearances, panel discussions, youth and children’s workshops, and other activities.
This year’s festival, coming up Friday 1st July – Sunday 3rd July at the British Library, 96 Euston RD, London NW1 2DB promises to be exciting with a rich list of African writers, publishers and essayists coming together to discuss contemporary issues around Africa and their works, and it’s almost free!
Below is a list of some of the contributors for the festival. Perfect way to spend the weekend, right? I know!
