Corporate social responsibility is a duty for all, but only few are responsive to this call. The Abass Khalid foundation is an NGO that has responded faithfully to this call, as they have made it their duty to annually give back to the society since its inception in 2013.

This year is no different, as the pioneer, Alhaji Adamu Mutairu has once again taken members of his foundation into his hometown, Auchi, to ensure that less privileged pupils look as presentable as any other child in the society. The foundation looking at the welfare of the children, decided to supply school uniforms, shoes and socks to these children who have been monitored to having less, thereby cannot afford to look better. The foundation also supplied the school with items such as multiple packs of markers and chalks to facilitate teaching for the school.

According to Mr. Mutairu, the aim of the organization is to support education at the basic level because he believes the foundation is important, so it should be strategically shaped for the betterment of the children, and the community at large.

The children, ranging from different schools in Etsako west such as Etsako primary school, Aibotse primary school, Akpekpe primary school, Ekhei primary school, Usogun primary school, Uchi primary school, Otaru primary school, Army Day primary school, and more were really glad at the kind gesture, and according to the head of the schools visited, this is the third year in a row that the foundation has been responsible to their needs, with previous supplies being chairs, tables, classrooms constructed by the organization, books and more.

Speaking to members of the foundation, they reaffirmed their support in the good cause of the Abass Khalid foundation and urged Nigerians to emulate the philanthropic lifestyle, despite how little we have, because according to one of the school heads, the society can only pray and follow a leader that calls you to dine with him no matter how little he has.

On future plans, the foundation promises to do more for not just the people of Etsako west, but as far as it wings can spread and accommodate.
