First it was Adesua Etomi, and now Beverly Naya. Guess Wana Sambo has something special for Nollywood, but the truth is, you would not fault anyone for staring at this collection longer than expected because it is plenty shades of gorge! What I love the most about this collection is the dialogue and how the various style suit the scenerios it depicts.
The Wana Sambo Edit is a collaboration between the Wana Sambo brand and women who exude strength, independence and creativity in their various fields. Our first #WSEdit for the year 2017, is the “My friend shot these” series where we have collaborated with award winning Actress, Beverly Naya to create pictures which capture the day-to-day woman’s imagination featuring her in 3 looks, where she’s seen in less “professional photographer-esque” images but the “My friend shot these” images daily appeal.
This mini-series features Beverly Naya looking less “provocative” as her brand suggests and in a more natural setting with the idea to appeal to every single woman, using real lifestyle poses and locations, showing Beverly as
though in character, representing every woman. Proving her strength as an actress. She taps into the appeal of her inner woman, representing the bold, the sexy, the shy or the indecisive #WanaSamboWoman.
An outdoor shoot, with the finish of “my friend to took this picture” on different days, shows her creating memories she would relive for a lifetime. Most likely as when friends grow older and are speaking of their
younger years scrolling through images and say thing like:
Remember this image (the Chloe dress) girl, I was feeling all sorts of sexy in it! Whoop! And oh, this one, (the Yetunde dress) why was I so shy?
Look how I beckoned on you to give me my phone, hahaha! My drama sha!
For the final look – the Bambi pair, she says to her friend;
Girl, this bench served us great memories! The constant lateness of the taxi driver allowed us take these photos, I couldn’t even keep a straight face as people kept staring!
They both laugh heartily with thoughts about the past being re-lived and then it’s back to the present as they get on with their day.
